Ceres Disproves Model

We are living in some exciting times, because we get to see things and learn about things in our solar system and the Universe in general which no man has seen or learned before! Do some of you remember the story about how the solar system was formed?  Those of you who went to public schools like myself were surely taught this, and those in private Christian or religious schools may have touched about this subject as well when discussing the differences between creationism and evolution.

Here is how the story was told in the text books in public schools as also told in nature

“4.5 billion years ago, the Solar System formed in a disk of gas and dust particles that surrounded the newly born Sun. The ‘giant’ planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune) formed first, within the few million years of the disk’s lifetime. Closer to the Sun, the small, rocky ‘terrestrial’ planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars) took tens of million years to form, by collisions of numerous smaller objects generated in the disk. Myriad small bodies formed the asteroid belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.”

I’m sure that most of you remember that story when you were in school or currently are in school in the upper grades. Currently, the DAWN spacecraft’s mission was to gather data from the largest asteroid called, “Ceres” for the purpose of confirming such a story in order to gain more understanding but as it turned out that wasn’t the case.

Bright spots was discovered on Ceres and the data gathered by DAWN revealed it is mostly likely, salt. Here is another discovery

“Dawn has also found ammonia-rich clays on Ceres, a second Nature paper reports2. Ammonia is more common in the frigid outer Solar System than in the asteroid belt where Ceres reigns.”

Also…“Ceres occasionally sports a cloud of ice and dust within one of its largest craters.”  This was discovered by the DAWN last February  as it approached.

Like Pluto, it was discovered that Ceres is active. So what does this all mean? I’ll let the very first article which I quoted in nature answered that question.. “Despite decades of attempts, no computational realization of standard formation theories has reproduced the mass and orbital distribution of both the terrestrial planets and the asteroids.”

This doesn’t mean space exploration is a waste of time, to the contrary. It’s these secular models which go nowhere in endless circles being disproved by direct evidence which gives secular scientists a lot of work to revise their story about how our solar system supposedly evolved that leads to no understanding. The more we learn about the solar system the more we learn how these models don’t work. And the reason for this is, our solar system did not evolve. It was intelligently designed by God.

We know the designer of the universe but does that mean we should not explore it and learn about it? No! You never read or see mainstream creation scientists or advocates talking against technology or space exploration. There is nothing anti-biblical learning about God’s created handy work! And there is nothing wrong about the evidence disproving these stories either! More on space exploration to come and more.
