The Mystery of Fossilized Whales In A Desert

Paleontologists were filled with enormous excitement and joy when 80 whales were discovered in the Chile desert.  They deemed it to be quite unusual and rare. Chilean paleontologist Mario Suarez on the excavation, said the mammals died more or less around the same time, then continued with his own spin on history with others coming up with their own while claiming the whales died 2 million to 7 million years ago.

A question was asked, “how did all these whales get fossilized in a desert about a half mile from the ocean?” The problem with evolutionists in trying to answer such a question comes from their rejection of considering a global flood. The discovery of whale fossils being buried in a desert also makes the story about evolution more complex. Other reports suggested that the state the earth’s coastlines were much lower back then. So which is it? The earth’s coastlines cannot be both in the story of evolution. But that certainly could happen to the coastlines with a global flood which explains where the whales lay!  This incredible find is quite remarkable for Christians as it confirms the Biblical account of Noah’s Flood!

When the earth was covered with water, the whales where able swim to this location, but when the water receded as a result of the raising of the continents where the floodwaters flowed into the ocean, they got trapped and thus a rapid burial took place. This same occurrence was responsible for sea shells being deposited at elevations that are much too high for ocean life to ever had existed accept that a flood deposited them! Just like in another location in South America, not far from Chile where fossils like a completely articulated  whale, except for one missing flipper, and a damage front skull with bones being incredibly preserved in a place where ocean life could not have existed!

The evidence for a large-scale catastrophe is overwhelmingly strong as some research scientists have reported. Since creation scientists and non-scientists take the global flood as an plausible event that happened, conclusion consist of the fossil layers to have been deposited mostly during this event. Most biblical geologists accept that the standard geological column represents the general order of deposition during the Flood, with some of the uppermost parts of the column being deposited in the 4,300-year period afterwards. The mystery created by evolutionists is not really a mystery after all but rather an amazing event that confirms the Bible!

More Evidence for Flood Baffles Geologists

Uniformitarianism is a particular framework which goes by the assumption “that the same natural laws and processes that operate in the universe now, have always operated in the universe in the past and apply everywhere in the universe.”

This framework has been used to reject a one-time occurrence of a global flood, known in the Bible as “Noah’s flood.” So things like noticing rocks which had been moved 3,000 miles across whole continents becomes baffling to secular geologists. Nothing of course remotely happens like that today! This would be a falsification of  uniformitarianism and what is interesting a team of geologists investigating the phenomena admit to it…

“The causes of such a pattern might be unique to time and place, and may include a combination of (1) lack of continental vegetation, (2) clustering of continents near the equator, (3) increased continental weathering rates, (4) widespread uplift and erosion associated with regionally extensive and relatively synchronous orogenesis [mountain-building] recording supercontinental amalgamation, and (5) production of significant relief, providing stream power for large-scale river systems.”

What is even more interesting to note, none of the mentioned mechanisms contradicts a worldwide flood; in fact, they would each appear to be the result of one which of course would confirm what the Bible says. Another interesting factor, the geologists avoided trying to explain with reference to natural law and observable, repeatable processes.  They did however avoid considering a flood. Rather they built up complexity (like in many other evolutionary theories) of five different explanations or a certain combination of them to their theory which makes it considerably weak.

When a scientific method is able to explain one cause for multiple effects it’s pretty strong. For example, your lawn is flooded, explanation one says, “a neighbor’s pool leaked and then a truck rode by with water and it leaked also” or “your neighbor’s pool just leaked or “it rained a lot causing the sewers to back up, flooding your property.”

A worldwide flood would produce all five effects mentioned by the geologists…

1) Lack of continental vegetation, because it had been stripped away by the water.

2) Widespread uplift and erosion associated with regionally extensive and synchronous mountain building occurred.

3) Weather rates increased dramatically.

4) Clustering of continents near the equator, then the continents split apart as the fountains of the great deep opened.

5) Production of significant relief, providing stream power for large-scale river systems, because new mountains produces runoff as the waters receded, transporting soft sediments over vast distances.  A worldwide flood would also explain the “high degree of sediment mixing and homogenization” of sediments they observed. On the other hand, because secular geology has denied a one-time event for so many years claiming it couldn’t happen, it’s not surprising to see their explanation move into a chaos complexity level while avoiding an explanation for increased weathering rates, widespread erosion, homogenization, synchronous mountain building and large-scale river systems. Their story remains in a special-pleading scenario which leaves much to be desired as a scientific explanation.

BioLogos Attempts To Use Secular Ecumenism For Science

A special interest organization known as “BioLogos” was founded by Dr. Francis Collins, a physician and geneticist who was nominated by President Obama  to be the director of the National Institutes of Health at the Department of Health and Human Services.

This summer they are conducting a workshop which is not free, states the following…

“A unique opportunity to explore questions at the intersection of science & faith. In this inaugural BioLogos workshop, held on the beautiful campus of Gordon College on Boston’s historic North Shore, participants will explore the compatibility of evolution and Christianity. Thee three-day program will be led by the senior staff of the BioLogos Foundation — Peter Enns, Darrel Falk and Karl Giberson.”

Ecumenism has been used threw the centuries to unite all religions under one. The Second Vatican Council (1961-1965) is today’s major player in the movement. Secular ecumenism is also part of it, it’s objective is to unite the Scriptures with evolution! Both are opposed to the strict fundamentals of the Bible…

The NCSE another branch of secular ecumenism…

“In public discussions of evolution and creationism, we are sometimes told by creationists and opponents of religion alike that we must choose between belief in creation and acceptance of the theory of evolution, between religion and science. Is this a fair demand? Is the choice that stark? Can one believe in God and accept evolution? Can one both accept what science teaches and engage in religious belief and practice?”

What they two groups fail to realize, evolutionary theories do not go by basic science concepts which state, “systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation.” For example, claims of what supposedly happened millions of years ago cannot be observed nor experimented with. Thus, it’s not a scientific method but faith-based on speculation. It’s a fact that evolutionary theories have been falsified thus revised many times over…

Another example would be a fossilized eleven-foot-long snake which was discovered, the animal preyed on titanosaur eggs for food. Titanosaurs are massive!  However, the fossils were dated according to the rocks they are in, which were dated by the fossils they contained.  Observations show the fossils to be below the lava layer in a feeder or sheeted dike, known as Deccan Traps.

This indicates the fossils were in a period of massive volcanism, along with continent-covering water (Noah’s flood) rather than in a slow and gradual process! The millions of years belief in itself doesn’t make practical sense using the scientific method because India supposedly detached from Africa about 148 million years ago and moved across to Eurasia which supposedly took 100 million years to accomplish.

One would expect to find evidence for such a massively long trip, but no fossils of organisms were discovered that indicated the land of India was isolated for any substantial time! Rather, discoveries were made that showed the fossils were common among other continents as well!

The biblical account is verifiable and makes more sense without the storytelling that goes on with evolution which doesn’t go by strict scientific observation…No BioLogos and NCSE, the Bible and Evolution are not compatible!

Rare Pterosaur Tracks Discovered In France

What is being considered nothing short of a miracle especially for those who believe in an old earth, tracks were made by flying reptiles have been found in a place now labeled as “Pterosaur Beach.” David Hone, a paleontologist at the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of China in Beijing, explains the discovery…

“If tracks from pterosaurs are going to get preserved, it’s likely to be in the softest muds or finest sands, and it’s unlikely even then, so to get traces of a pterosaur landing like this is very exciting,” Hone noted. He added the case the researchers make for the way the pterosaurs landed “is very strong and convincing.”

A pterosaur is a very light animal which made it unable to make an imprint in sediment that is too coarse. So the only way as described previously would be on a soft surface, making indentation possible by this particular animal. The preservation of these pterosaur tracks were caused by Noah’s flood.

A rapid occurrence was needed to make this discovery possible not something that progressed slowly through time.  Kevin Padian of the University of California, Berkeley, a co-author of the study said that extensive slabs of hardening limestone do not happen today. Keep in mind, evolutionists look for things in the present to explain the past. Making present processes the only considered option as possible causes for events of the past presents a problem for any viable explanation especially for things like these fossilized animal tracks.

What geologists call “ephemeral markings” which include raindrop indentations, lizard tracks, and delicate ripple marks from flowing water are found to be consistent with the worldwide Flood of Noah as described in the book of Genesis. Only a flood could have caused the pterosaur tracks to be exposed to a cementing agent fast enough which enabled the tracks to be discovered thousands of years later.
